▪️Calorie dense foods (like nuts + dried fruits) can be a convenient way to snack when you're on the go, but, in my experience they can be easy to overeat. They also don't contain nearly as much protein as people think. The nuts + dried fruit on the right are from a single serving snack pack I bought at the grocery store. The pack contained almonds, macadamian nuts, a Brazil nut and dried fruit. You can see it on my IG story. 517 calories: 43C/34F/10P

▪️90% of the time I prefer more volume because, it helps with satiety, reduces feelings of deprivation and leads to higher success rates and compliance when trying to stick with reduced calories.

Find yourself waking up in the middle of the night? I do from time to time so I'll occasionally have up to 1 tablespoon of raw honey with a spoonful of brain octane before I get in bed! Our brains need fuel to do it's proper job while we sleep - and it uses liver glycogen (and ketones) for that fuel. So if you find yourself waking up in the wee hours of the night for no reason, it's probably your body saying "WAKE UP AND GO GET FOOD!" Crazy, right? Breakfast for dinner 💪🏼 Had the most amazing weekend in the country with some beautiful friends & loads of cheese 🧀! I had a mad craving for eggs - huevos rancheros - & even more cheese 🐭⤵️
Sweat 1️⃣ red onion, 2️⃣ cloves of garlic
Add 1️⃣ red pepper, a bay leaf, 1️⃣tsp paprika, 1️⃣tsp cayenne pepper, & 1️⃣ finely chopped chilli
Add 4️⃣0️⃣0️⃣g fresh tomatoes & 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ml water
Season with salt & pepper.
Simmer for 1️⃣0️⃣ minutes!
Stir in 4️⃣ handfuls of spinach.
Using a spatula make 2️⃣ wells in the now rich sauce. Crack 2️⃣ eggs.
Poach, lid on, for 4️⃣ mins.
Grate 1️⃣5️⃣gs of mature cheddar on top.
My mouth is watering too much - I’m tucking in! .

This slow cooker chicken curry I adapted from @thefoodcharlatan with roasted sugar pumpkin is one of my favorites.
These are the changes I made to the recipe:
Added lemongrass
Added turmeric, paprika and garlic
Used Thai basil instead of regular American basil
Squeezed juice of 1 lime after it finished cooking
