How do you motivate yourself to get out there & kick ass? πŸ’ͺ share your thoughts!
Some things that motivate me other than obvious reasons: staying active is healthy & I want my body to look good, duh! Who doesn't?
1. Some days I promise myself that after the work out, I'll have a burger & a beer. It's all about balance after all, right? 🍺
2. I got a membership to the coolest gym with a rooftop overlooking the ocean. 🌴
3. We have a bunch of different classes at the gym. So sometimes when motivation is lacking, I know that the instructor will push me to work harder.
4. Living in California makes you wanna have your body toned up 365 days a year. There's nowhere to hide 😎
5. I love when I have an opportunity to work out with a brand I love & other babes & try a new class. It's especially helpful when you were planning on being lazy that one day but the new class sounds so cool, you can't miss out.
6. Let's be honest, we all know you'll feel better after you got out of the gym. So, sometimes it's that simple.
7. Or I was in traffic for 3hrs & just want to punch someone. So, there's that boxing bag in the gym πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

Looking back I can't believe at one point in my life I wasn't genuinely smiling.
.
I was stressed out, fearful, in an unhealthy relationship, barely eating, and I forgot who I was.
.
Some days I would have panic attacks where I would just shake and feel super cold. I wouldn't be able to move. Literally frozen until it ended.
.
I felt like no one knew how I felt and I couldn't fully explain it. Feelings overwhelmed me.
.
Being in social settings, I'd have to put on a front. Keep my real feelings hidden and wear a fake smile.
.
It was tiring. I'd rather be alone, but being alone really wasn't helping me.
.
I decided enough was enough and learned how to manage my emotions, live in the present moment, and love myself.
.
As a result I am so much more aware of my body, how to heal myself and I learned who I really am.
.
Food, feelings and fitness have changed my anxiety game completely. So grateful for the journey and being able to now genuinely smile.

Yes doing cardio everyday is great, but not if your trying to grow curves and a booty. In the picture on the left(2014) I was running miles everyday and on a very strict diet. On the right(2017) I'm doing mostly weight lifting, a little bit of cardio, with a very flexible diet(including lots of pizza, tacos, burgers, and etc). Don't be afraid to enjoy life, and try new things until you find what makes you happy πŸ’—
