Good morning! It's toast Tuesday! I discovered Ezekiel Bread this past summer and have been loving it ever since. Ezekiel bread is made from sprouted whole grains (wheat, millet, barley and spelt), and legumes (soybeans and lentils), and contains no sugar. All of the grains and legumes are organically grown and allowed to sprout before they are processed. Allowing the grains to sprout increases the amount of healthy nutrients and reduces the amount of unhealthy anti-nutrients. Sprouting also breaks down the starch, and for this reason sprouted grains have slightly less carbohydrates. So, due to the sprouting of the seeds, Ezekiel bread is more nutritious than other types of bread. If you aren't willing to give up bread and carbs, like me, Ezekiel bread is a much healthier choice than other breads.
