It's interesting how everyone jumps on the fitness selfie bandwagon, including myself... but rarely is it about being at your body's equilibrium. Health isn't about who's the skinniest or who's depleting their adrenals...
It's about health coming from within. It's about eating food that nourishes your body. Instead of starving yourself (which is bad for your body, you shouldn't feel hungry constantly), why not give your body the proper nutrients to stay full and happy?
For example, isnstead of chicken and rice (which doesn't keep your body full, it doesn't give you vitamins and minerals you need, and it's going to leave you hungry in an hour).. let's try spinach and kale + chicken + quinoa or cauliflower rice, or even swap the chicken for some high EPA and DHA fish like wild caught salmon or wild caught sardines!
Let's not starve ourselves with rice cakes or have a stash of Oreos for meeting our skinny goal. Let's get our blood levels checked and let's nourish our bodies with the food we eat to keep those levels in check and to lose weight!
I am guilty of doing these things I feel are now wrong, but by going through it, I learned from it and that's why nutrition is my importance in life. To help get you healthy and happy! Cause what's better than FEELING good?
When you feel good, you look good! And let me tell you that if you nourish your body properly, then your acne will go away, those extra pounds that are sticking around will go away and your body will bring you to your set weight - give yourself some time, don't be hard on yourself!
