What a difference a year makes! This is me and Neville, one year ago, and then today 😄
What a journey it has been.
When I did my first Shred10 in June 2017, the goal was not weight loss. Though it happened for Neville and I, how to capture in a photo the underlying issues, symptoms and pain? Can you see a difference here?
My husband Neville wrote this:
"In the BEFORE, I felt older, my joints, specifically my hands and back were stiffer and ached periodically.
I felt bloated.
I felt overstuffed in my abdomon.
My energy levels were depleted easily and along with that my mood could easily shift from fun and easy to bored or worse... Caring for myself through changes in my diet literally eradicated all of these things. I was on a slippery slope and I honestly felt pretty indifferent about it, believing that this is how it is now, this is how 40 feels.
Today, I'm about 25 pounds lighter and I'd say 80% of that disappeared from my belly, I have significantly less stress on my lower back as a result.
On top of that inflamation has left my body, my hands and back (and whole body really) feel as if I was in my 20s again. You can imagine the affect that has on my energy levels and mood. Along with this new found mobility naturally came a new mindset, I CAN, so I DO.
I feel lighter in body and spirit.
I feel happy.
And I feel proud of myself for actually doing it."
. 👆 These words from my husband bring me tears. We are both so much lighter in mood and spirit!! When I wake up with a spring in my step, free of pain, free of anxiety, I am reminded of how it *could have gone*. The first time I did a Shred10 it waa far from perfect. But that is not what it's about. It's about PROGRESS not PERFECTION.
Tomorrow evening I have an Info Session on the next Spring Cleanse I am leading 😄
