I feel like I’m slowly getting in to the swing of things with this new Instagram account dedicated to my yoga practice. For a long time I didn’t feel comfortable with putting myself out there on social media and the self-promotion that goes along with it. I actually set up this account months ago but left it dormant until recently because for a while I felt that my practice was private and just for me.
The turning point, I suppose, was when I finally decided to pursue the path teaching yoga. I figured if I don’t have the confidence to share my yoga practice on a platform like this, then how will I ever have the confidence to stand in he middle of a yoga class guiding students through a yoga sequence! I needed to get over myself and make that leap. So here I am.
Transitioning from Prasarita Padottanasana is my favourite way to get to Sirsasana II (tripod headstand), I love the feeling of floating your feet off the ground and up in the air. I also enjoy the challenge of lowering my feet down slowly and with control, hovering them a few inches off the ground before completely lowering them down.
