Comprised of 1,853 small islands of the Oregon Coast, the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge is home to 1.2 million nesting colonies of birds from 13 different species. This is more nesting colonies than the coasts of California and Washington combined! Besides Alaska, the Refuge is also home to the most breeding and pupping sites for Steller sea lions in the U.S.
Interested? Join us on our Oregon Coast Quest this weekend as we explore tidal pools and talk about the natural history of our wonderful coastal ecosystems.
