👉🏻 Firstly, I would like to explain what “healthy fat” actually means. The phrase “healthy fat” usually refers to monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. They help reduce cholesterol, benefit insulin and blood sugar levels, etc. Those are good choice for everyone, especially hard-gainers struggling to eat enough calories throughout the day. 🙋🏻‍♂️

That said, for today’s post I compared some of the best healthy fat options. Of course, there are many more. Instead peanut butter, for instance, you can also chose to eat some other nut butter and instead of salmon, you can eat some other fatty fish because it is high in omega 3.
Also, macros below are based on 100g (raw) of each food. 🍔

Here's a few tips:
.
• Change speeds- If you're on a fast break, slowing down might make your defender ease up and become flat footed. Once you cross, explode!
.
• Sell the hesitation- The most important thing is the back leg. Make sure it's down and pointed in the opposite direction of the side you want to crossover to (in this case right).
.
• Variations for different situations- Have different styles to cross (across the body, far and wide, tight and short, high to low, etc...). It will depend on the type of defender. Another consideration will be surface and sneakers. In this video, I couldn't get too low on a high speed because of the lack of traction from the type of court and sneakers I was using.
.
• Counters- Great defenders won't fall for the same move twice. Make sure you have options. Continue to pay attention to the defense once the cross has been made. Don't assume you can always go to the rim.

**THE WORKOUT**
.
Your starting point should be a few feet from behind the half court line. Remember to run game-speed like you're in a fast break. Here is the order of the moves:
.
- crossover to layup
- crossover to pull up jumper
- double crossover to layup
- crossover to stop dribble jumper
- crossover to retreat
- crossover to step back jumper
.
When you perform the move, you will proceed to the next on the list. Once you finish those moves with your strong side (right hand in the video), you can try the same order of moves on your weak side. If you master both sides, go down the middle and mix it up- combine different combos and counters.
