The raised bed garden is looking pretty once again! I think the happy metal flowers and signs make it look cozy! 🌻😊🌻

Final sharing of my #YTT and if I didn't cover what you wanted to know, please email or DM me or leave a comment below! And if you still can't decide whether to do one, perhaps do a 30-50hrs immersion first! I did 150hrs of that prior and it helped in my asanas and initial knowledge of Sanskrit and philosophies..
.
All of us felt that we did more than a 200hrs YTT as we covered so much. Our manual was over 200 pages and we had pre-work, compulsory reading to do before we flew over. We went in depth into anatomy and I'm so inspired that I'm going to continue learning. We had a lot of creative flows in our morning asana practice but I think the area that we spent the most time learning and practicing was teaching and assisting..
.
Assisting a student enables the student to go deeper in the posture. We were taught that we do not adjust or correct students as the goal is not to force a student into how a pose should look like but how they feel in a pose. You assist a student if you feel they're not safe in it and mostly, to allow them to experience a deeper connection. Assists are giving mostly to intermediate to advanced students and for new students, you allow them space to first be comfortable in the practice..
.
We were asked to teach daily. From day 1. Yup. Emphasis on not using filler words, using the right words to cue, how to sequence, the pacing and we gave feedback to each other. Dylan usually gave us just 15 mins to prepare for a 20mins sequence with specific themes and for our final teach out, we were given just 2.5 days to prepare (we still had our usual schedule so it was much less time)..
.
Every third day when we did our self practice, he made us cue out loud for the 2 hours. Sounds crazy but it really helped. My filler word is "try" because I hear a lot of yoga teachers say that here. I'm constantly and still refining how I cue. It'll get better with practice..
.
During each morning practice, we would take turns to assist around the class. There are so many ways to assist and I'm still trying to learn it all. Can't wait for the videos to refresh my memory!.
