I know I posted this picture already, but here's my story behind it. I was taking my eight year old Grandson to the Reptile Zoo the other day, he loooves all things creepy crawly, slithery and slimy.
Having been asked if he would like to hold a snake, and absolutely nodding his head in agreement to that suggestion, I watched as he relished the moment he was enjoying with the snake, right in his element.
Mean while, the snake handler turns to me and says "would you like a turn?". "No way!" was my quick reply. Then I stopped, and then I thought 🤔. I remembered listening to someone once saying "why do we automatically say NO to life, instead of YES?" We often don't even give it much thought, we just blurt out NO thanks!
So, after giving it a moments thought, I heard the words leaving my lips "Actually, I will give it a go" 😬 - I will embrace new and exciting experiences. We only live once. And so I did. It left me buzzing for a few moments after 😁😆 Think of all the tremendous experiences we miss, just because we say 'no'. Over the last six months, I've been saying 'yes' to new opportunities and experiences, and I have begun to start feeling alive again, after many years of illness and depression.
What would happen if we actually began saying 'YES' to life? To ALL of life! Who could we become? We will never find out unless we actively embrace LIFE! 😀❤️💃#happylifequotes #beyou #beyourself #inspirationalquotes
