The first song recorded was on April 9th, 1860 via a phono-autograph. .
It is thought that the first voice recording was from Thomas Edison, nope! Not true. 👎 sry playa. Instead, its from Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville, a French bookseller. Scott recorded these sound waves and it was originally thought to be a female voice but if one slows it down, you’ll hear that it was his very own voice. Crazy enough, a phono-autograph can only record sounds which is why no one could hit play to listen. Therefore, no one could listen to it for a while... then in 2008 (only 148 years later) someone finally listened to it and revealed this was indeed the first recorded song. Love how things gotta be turned inside out so the the answers can be truly revealed. .
Check out the first recorded song - a bit creepy yet cool sounding. 🌪💫🕷 Kinda like this weird upside down house in Tartu, Estonia. .
