In the last year I’ve tried a lot of new brands. Some were ok and some I absolutely adored. One of the brands I fell madly in love with was @oneoseven_official. I’ve yet to try anything from the brand that isn’t fantastic. Their Core Flex cream is hands down my favorite moisturizer ever, everything from the scent to the texture is perfect.
The Core Flex cream essence is on par with that. This is closer to an emulsion in terms of texture, so don’t be fooled by the essence name. This is rich without being heavy. It has some thickness to it but sinks in rather quickly, leaving a silky finish. This was designed to be similar to eye cream but for the full face. It’s a nice versatile product in that you could use it only for an eye cream, and at 50ml it would last forever.
Key ingredients in this are squalane, arbutin, and their signature Hanega vinegar. The company believes firmly that fermented vinegar is wonderful at slowing the aging process and repairing troubled skin. So far my experiences with the brand, and almost all fermented products I’ve used, has convinced me they’re definitely on to something. Fermented products, be it rice, sake, vinegar, or any other fermented ingredient, tends to add a glow that I just can’t seem to get anywhere else.
I’ve been using this essence for two months(ish). I use it every night before my final oils and moisturizers. At the very surface this is a nourishing and moisturizing cream with a luxurious feel. The bottle is plastic but well made, with I believe an airless pump. There is a faint sweet herbal scent that fades quickly. During the dry winter months this is an important step for me. I’ve done all my hydrating layers, but I need that extra boost of richness before a thicker cream. Without it my skin isn’t as bright and plump in the mornings, and my flaking is worse.
I purchased this at @nordstrom but you can also buy this from @beautibi or direct from their website.
What have you tried from the brand? Any wishlist items? Personally I want to try the Core Flex essential liquid and some of their new candles.
