Natural agate druzies ✨ set in sterling silver using a strip of sterling and wrapping around the edge of the stone. This is a harder method than the other method - using copper to paint around the edges and then plating it. The copper would be conductive and would easily take on the metal you want to plate with. However, that would tarnish without a protective coating and cannot be cleaned. With this method, any silver cleaner will be able to bring back the original shine. However, it is more labour intensive and the bumpiness of the natural druzy will not be completely covered the same way a painted process would cover it. It is a matter of choice 🤔what do you prefer?
