My studio neighbor, who makes art and birdhouses from gourds, brought by some cut off pieces for me to use as hump molds. I love their unique organic shapes and any day where I get to try something new with clay is always good 🌰
After a two year break from high fire porcelain, the teapots come easier than expected. A few more to complete and hoping for a successful soda firing. The firing is the hardest part of the process for me.
bisque load will be firing on Wednesday... and then I will be glazing, glazing, glazing! I still have a few bisque pieces left over from my first firing, like this sleeping fox. My thought was to leave him untouched until I could consult my test tiles, but I just decided to go for it.
