I'm definitely not where I used to be with my pace, but I am slowly but surely fighting my way back & grateful beyond words to be feeling great during and after these runs. Buddy's on a new eating plan per his vet (his weight went up 4lbs and for a little chiweenie that's A LOT!) Keeping his running to about 2mi in the morning and a walk in the evening so he's not too hot and tired. Dropped him off today and finished up on my own. πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸΆ Oh...nothing in my #Instastory...I keep forgetting. πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ LOL

Finally getting back to some good runs. After the BLAZING HOT πŸ”₯ race last Saturday my body said oh no no girlfriend! πŸ‘†πŸ»πŸ‘†πŸ» LOL Sometimes you have to LISTEN to what your body is telling you. Sooooo Buddy and I kept getting out there but stuck with walking. Today was much better. And even though I had tell myself to keep going I felt pretty good. Back at it tomorrow and hopefully I can go a little further. #NeverGiveUp

I've still been feeling yucky about yesterday's weigh-in, but at the same time it's a constant reminder of how our mentality is an even bigger part of this journey then we sometimes realize! Thankful I have taken some pics along the way. They are always a reminder of how far I've come! At the beginning of 2014 I joined @weightwatchers . I felt hopeless & walking was pretty much the only activity I could handle. By April I had taken off a reasonable chunk of weight & happily went on a hike with my daughter. I was actually able to keep up with her!!!....eventually my walking turned into running & I realized how much I missed running. It had been over 12 years since I had ran a race, so I signed up for my first 1/2 marathon & was a couple pounds within goal weight at that time. I finished in 2:02 ! These pics remind me that I am strong & that there is nothing that I can't do! Sometimes you just need to lift yourself up and just keep moving forward because being healthy is always worth it😊
