Flying 🐷 half didn't disappoint! Great weather and so much fun running in Henry. This picture is courtesy of @rockospin who was a fantastic supporter. I love the pic bc you can see the shear determination Henry had to finishing this half. I pushed him and he delivered with a stellar time of 1:40:33!!! He even put up with me yelling at him as we ran the last 2 miles. But this story doesn't end...we all piled into a car and drove to mile 23.5 and cheered the marathoners in and served up tasty tequila shots to over 150 amazing runners! 😜 #runwithfriends#halfmarathongoals#flyingpighalfmarathon#flyingpig
First offical week of half marathon training is in the books. And there's no better way to celebrate than the #strideboxrace 26.2 in two weeks that kicks off on Monday! With stridebox goodies and kt tape, these next two weeks will be a breeze
I DID IT. All 13.1 miles running no stopping under a 2:30. I am proud of it for my first round and definitely believe that specific goals are key in maintaining a fitness routine. What's in store next????
What to do... What to do? After hurting my foot on a easy run last weekend I finally went to a physiotherapist today. Turns out i tore and strained a muscle in my foot. Mostly from over training and bad shoes. She has treated it and it should start getting better, but now what. My first half marathon is on Sunday. I've literally put in the blood, sweat an tears training. I've been counting the days and getting so excited! She suggested downing it to the 10k, but didn't flat out say NO HALF... I know which would be best. But the gamble is eating at me. 😳
