10 years ago I never thought I'd be the kind of woman who could happily and comfortably go through an entire day and night in a sari. Learning to drape one is not difficult, and a little practice is all it takes to really start enjoying wearing a sari. Yesterday I spent 17 hours in this outfit, first judging a dance competition all day and then braving the crazy rains to go to a bar with my friends after... and that is now totally normal for me. I've grown so used to running from dance events to social ones, that even my friends no longer bat an eye when they see me in a sari. "How can I wear Indian clothes to a bar?" or "I had better go home and change first" were thoughts that probably never struck me. Be comfortable, be different, be you. Don't waste a moment wondering what other people are thinking. And if you are, rest assured it's all good things - everyone admires a confident person.
Have a great week, errrbady!
