💥💥Stability Ball Hack Squats💥💥
Benefits:
- Safety - When done correctly*** DO NOT FULLY BOUNCE!!!!
- Adductor activation
- Overloading the Muscles
This is a great variation to try out, but it is CRUCIAL that you do them correctly! First and foremost DO NOT let your weight fully bounce off of the Stability Ball!!!!! Your Bodyweight plus the weight of the sled plus whatever weight you have on there is WAY too much for the Stability Ball to handle! Too much force if you just drop and bounce, or try to! That is a disaster waiting to happen... but I am sure some shmuck out there won’t read my post and will just watch the video and try it, and will end up popping a Ball, and hopefully not his knees! Keep constant tension on the legs throughout the ENTIRE movement and range of motion! Do NOT let yourself drop and bounce to rebound off the ball! Instead control the movement and focus on the mind muscle connection, firing those muscle fibers fully and efficiently! Set your stance so that your knees/legs are driving into the ball, so you can focus and target your adductor muscles! This is crucial when developing striated and separated quads! Great variation to use just to switch things up and hit the muscles in a different way, or to do on a day like I did here, when I was by myself and didn’t have anyone there to spot me! Still was able to work up to 10 plates for sets of 8-10 HEAVY, and no Balls were popped!!! Also a great variation to try if you have trouble hitting full depth below 90 degrees, it can help build your mobility and confidence! Just make sure to start light and focus on doing it correctly! NO BOUNCING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This ain’t no darn Trampoline! New PB of 130kg x 4 this morning on hack squats. Was meant to be my one rep max but first was a little too easy so kept going. Got my @sbdapparel knee sleeves on the weekend and first time using them. Feeling like everything is finally coming together again.

Today was a solid leg day! Worked up to a 3x3 at 335 before moving on to 3 sets of 225 front squat and worked up to a 10 plate hack squat. Nothing crazy or impressive, just another leg day, decided to mix it up this week with some hack squats to end my workout instead of goblet squats

"Cannon Ball" "close stance" Hack Squats. Another new wrinkle in my training after checking out @smith.julian . I've done hack squats for years with 3 and 4 plates never really feeling it in my quads. Tried this variation, old school popularized by @tomplatz_ the original quad guy, and best quads in the history of bodybuilding

Lower the weight, drop the ego to build your body. Feet close together, at the bottom of the plate, control the decent, pressing through the outter portions of the balls off your feet, keeping constant tension on the quad, no lockouts, control descent.
Again newly added, still focusing on gaining the proper strength for full range of motion for full quad development for better and stronger squatting

Mir stecken noch ein wenig die 250 Burpees und die 10 km Crosstrainer in den Knochen. 😅 Aber ein #kettlebellworkout lasse ich mir deshalb trotzdem nicht nehmen. 😁 Zu sehr freue ich mich immer darauf. 😍 War auch wieder echt cool. 👍🏼 .

2 Exercises kannte ich noch nicht. Das waren zum einen die #hacksquats und zum anderen die #suitcasedeadlifts . Bei den Hack Squats hält man die Kettlebell mit beiden Händen hinter dem Rücken und geht dann langsam runter, um einen Squat zu machen. Die Schwierigkeit hierbei ist, dass man dabei auf die Zehenspitzen geht. Das war echt heftig und brannte ordentlich in den Oberschenkeln.🔥Bei den Suitcase Deadlifts hat man die Kettlebell seitlich neben dem Fuß stehen und hebt sie hoch, als ob man einen Koffer anhebt. 💪🏼 Ich hatte auf jeden Fall meinen Spaß. 😍

My programming stated not to lock out at extension for these movements. It’s important to press through all 4 corners of your feet & avoid letting your heels come off the ground. The Spanish Squats look like you can lose balance, but you won’t, especially if you start slowly to get the hang of it. Hack squats are like reverse deadlifts so the placement of the bar is why it activates quads instead of hamstrings.
