I'm not sure I've ever done a #tbt —
So here is my first!!! Back to a time, when I made a daring decision to pack up what I could fit in my car and and move out to a city I knew nothing about -- San Francisco 🌉
A bunch of wild memories flood my mind whenever I think about life in SF. I loved my time out there, but after so many ups and downs I decided it was time to leave. Now, normally, the streets are filled with people and other cars all about. But do you notice something in this picture? Pure. Bliss. I'm sharing the road with a street cleaner and no one else is around. You know why? Every morning I had to wake up around 5 AM to drive around my neighborhood. I was doing one of two things - either finding another parking spot on the 'other' side of the road or driving around until the street cleaners finished my street and then going back to park in my spot I had previously left. You see — in San Francisco, and possibly other larger cities, they clean the streets religiously! Which means that one side of the street gets M, W, Friday and the other side is cleaned Tues. & Thursdays. And of course, I always got stuck parking on the side that was being cleaned the next morning. Although, now that I look back on it - I got to cherish many moments like this one. Where, for a moment, it almost seemed as if time were standing still, and as though maybe I was the only life for miles. 👽
In a city that never stops, moments like these are truly priceless.
