“For the body does not consist of one part but of many…. as it is, God arranged [each] part in the body, each one of them, as he chose.” (1 Cor. 12:14, 18)
In the human body, the eyes see, the mouth speaks, the hand moves. In this body of people on site today, the elected official governs, the comforter comforts the carpenter builds - or in our case here today, everyone builds. Nevertheless, we all have our unique roles.
And our roles bring us together. We all need each other. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you. ” Who will wipe the eye’s tears? Who will watch out for the hand?
Thank you so much to everyone who came out this weekend! We are in great need of you!
The Bible gives us a picture of what the Church ought to be—many parts working together as one body, and how we are to relate—loving one another and meeting each others’ needs. We are convinced you all are modeling that for us. You are in this very moment being used as instruments of blessing to all of us. From the bottom of our heart, we thank all of you for showing your love.
