Sooo... we made Ethiopian food tonight. And the recipe called for...... 🔟 purple onions. 😱
We cheated and went for 7. But cutting these bad boys up was a true act of selfless love. D told me Ethiopian eyes are very strong, American eyes, not so much. I concur. He suggested goggles so we went for it. I also remembered someone telling me if you open a bottle of OnGuard while slicing onions it helps. So we dropped some in the diffuser and opened that bottle up and put a few drops on the cutting board. And honestly, I'm not sure if my eyes ever had a chance against that many onions, but the next time we're being normal and only using ONE onion I'm gonna try it!
I'm about 3 onions in when D tells me in Ethiopia they have a machine that "is very nice". He looks around and sees the blender on the counter and says "THIS!" Umm. Duh. Where was that brilliant idea 3 onions ago.
