Do's and Don'ts for a healthier Thanksgiving Pt. 2.... some things to stay away from so you stay on track with your goals.
1. Green bean casserole. Don’t let the “green bean” in the name fool you. This can hardly be considered a vegetable dish. It is made with heavy cream, milk, and fried, so it will add a
significant amount of calories and fat to your Thanksgiving plate.
2. 1/8th of a pecan pie dishes out 500 CALORIES, 27 grams of fat, and 64 grams of carbs, making it easily the least healthy dessert choice.
3. Be mindful that alcohol can add hundreds of calories to your holiday meal — 5 oz of wine is125 calories, 1 shot of vodka, whiskey or rum is about 100 calories, 1 can of beer is about 150 calories, coffee liqueur is over 160 calories per shot
