Most machines at the gym have little diagrams on them which show you how to adjust them and use them. Read these! 🤓I always have to look at the diagrams for every new machine I use. There is no shame in this, and you want to make sure the machine is set up properly for your body! 👌

Lying leg curls work the entire back of your leg--hamstrings, calves, and a little bit of glutes. There's also a machine for seated leg curls, which is a variation that isolates your hamstrings a little more 😃. Do you guys prefer doing these lying or seated?

Gym tip #1- We all use wrong form sometimes without knowing it and shrugs form is one of these.
My shoulders are rolled forward, my spine is not neutral, I'm over straining my neck. If you do anything like this then STOP.
1.-You can injure your back if it's not straight (neutral spine). 2.- when your shoulders are rolled forward then your traps are not fully engaged and you are not working your traps to their full potential.
3.- Don't overstrain your neck by pushing it too far up or down. Keep it neutral.

I see so many people in the gym rack pulling crazy weights and doing 5-8 reps dead quick nearly breaking their backs and I just don't understand why. There is no need to go super heavy on rack pulls at all. This is me doing sets of 20 reps with just 60kg but at the top of the movement I push my shoulder blades back and tense my lower lats and squeeze every single muscle I can in my back with every rep, nice and slow reps with a squeeze will definitely get you better definition/ strength and improve the mind muscle connection so why would you lift a big crazy weight 🤔

I'll be starting a new style of training that involves bodybuilding, powerlifting and MMA styles of training. My progress has been slow thus far but I'm happy with the improvements in my upper chest, back and even legs to honest. However, I want to do something different so that I'm able to control my body in the best way possible! Everything from being able to control my metabolic rate, conditioning, flexibility and aesthetics, I want to master it all! A nice body is great to look at but I want to be able to perform as well as I look in all categories! Project Kaspy 2.0 will be in effect soon! 😎👊🏼

➡️ Chest Pass: Start with holding a medball at the center of your chest. Toes are facing towards the front and feet width are just outside your shoulders. ➡️ With your left hand push the medball towards your right side with force. As you push you will simultaneously turn your chest towards the right and pivot your foot inward--that pivot is called triple extension. Your pass form should look as depicted in the photo. 🙋🏽‍♂️ After you pass the ball, sprint over to the med ball and perform the chest pass to the opposite side. 🔥 Add this to your workout and perform this 4 sets for 30 seconds with maximal effort, rest for a minute between sets.

With the warmer weather coming around I know none of us like to admit it but our shoes tend to get a little sweatier than usual after a workout or a run. I'll admit my shows can get gross and stinky after a good run. A great trick is to take some simple baking soda. Use about 1-2 teaspoons per shoe depending on the level of how gross it is. Sprinkle it on the sole of your shoe and in it should work towards drawing out some of the smell and sweat overnight. Then just shake them out over the garbage can the next day!

If your gym doesn't have a seated triceps dip machine, try using the platform of the assisted dips/pullups machine. ✅This variation hits the muscle somewhat differently than when using a dumbbell. Also, in the bottom position of this variation, the rear delt isn't resting because there's still tension on it so long as the plates aren't touching down on the stack. That constant tension can stimulate more growth.

✅It might be easier to lose the handle and grasp the rubber ball to keep your hand in neutral alignment (palm facing in).

GYM DON'TS:
🤦‍♂️🙅🏻‍♂️❌🚫‼️
1) Don’t be a creep. This is directed more at the male gym-goer who is a little too friendly to the female members. Friendly conversation is fine, staring from a distance like a creep isn’t. Every gym has there token gym creep this is the guy who insists on starting a conversation with a female member mid-compromising stretch or exercise, this guy can also be seen sprinting to the squat rack to give an unneeded spot don’t be that guy.
2) Don’t be a machine hogger. Last week I discussed the benefits of supersets as a training technique but the absolute worst gym member is the person who tries to superset multiple machines located in opposite areas of the gym. If your using two machines side by side simultaneously then fair enough but everyone hates the phantom super-setter who pops up with “I’m using that” and then runs the length of the gym floor to a different machine to finish their superset, effectively hogging 2 machines. Machine hoggers are the scourge of the gym world this is a big “Don’t”.
3) Don’t dry your genitals with the hairdryer. I shouldn’t have to include this but the reality is I do, I see this at least twice per week😷. Drying your balls with the communal hairdryer isn’t acceptable, it’s weird. Certain demographics are more prone to this than others I’ve never seen anyone under 50 do this 👴🏻. I admire the carefree attitude of the elderly but the whole hairdryer-genital situation is a step too far.
4) Don’t make a phone call at the gym 📱. The gym is for working out not chatting, if you have the time to be making a phone call mid-session you’re not training hard enough. How can you be focused on the weight you’re pushing or the miles you’re running if you’re concentrating on your phone?
