‼️POSED VS RELAXED‼️ Let's not lie we are all guilty of making sure we look our best and post the best versions of ourselves on social media (me included) 🤦🏼‍♀️ and that is totally fine!! Even before a friend/bf/family post a picture of you on their social media you 1. Go through the picture making sure you look good. 2. Tell them which filter you love to make you look better and 3. Fight them till the death if they post something you do not like! I defiantly don't walk around tensing and with a solid six pack! When I sit I have roles & that's okay! Our bodies change throughout the day, not just from the food and drink we consume but also from how we position ourselves! so instead of a transformation of improvement this is a transformation of reality! 🙌🏼 My lower abdominal area is where my stubborn fat stays and it's so hard for me to shift it (main goal of mine) but never be afraid to be comfortable in the skin you are on. We all have flaws we have to embrace them and love ourselves for who we are ✨ it's taken me a long time to be happy in my own skin and self love and confidence doesn't happen over night but is something you can work on each day! The log book in my opinion is one the most valuable tools any gym goer can have

Putting pen to paper to track your lifts is essential is you ever want to truly progress with your goals

I've been religiously logging my weights now for about a year and in that time I have seen more progress than ever before
-
The reasons I find the log book so useful are;
-
1. Knowing what numbers to aim for BEFORE a session can greatly increase your motivation to want to train hard
-
2. Looking at previous lifts to see how far you've come is a real booster for enjoyment, determination and willingness to continuing improving
-
3. Knowing where you struggled and identifying weak points helps create changes to a plan that can benefit your progress going forward
-
Too many people just spin their wheels when they go to the gym, doing the same exercises, the same sets and the same reps day in day out
-
And whilst consistency and adherence trumps all else, the overall aim should be to progress and improve with each session.

💪☕😀 New move . Had to do the grip for at least half an hour to get it right. But no rush for anywhere, this isn't a marathon and better safe than sorry.

How to manage an injury 🤕🤕🤕

Hypocritical to say... but I don't recommend strapping up body parts to take away stress from nagging injuries when training. Straps, wraps and sleeves all have their place in the gym, but not for that sake allowing to training with 'manageable pain'
.
You get knee pain. You buy knees sleeves (if they aren't @sbdapparel then wtf are you doing with your life 🤔). You get elbow pain, you buy elbows sleeves. Repeat until you're basically wearing shorts and a stringer to each gym session but still completely covered
.
I've had been 'that guy'. It helps you push through training. But it doesn't fix the issue
.
Look at why your knees, back, elbows, shoulders etc hurt, and identify how to fix it
.
It might take a bit of time. You might actually have to do this thing called learning but it the end if it means you're less broken by the time to get to your goal then it is 100% worth it!
.
At the end of the day, if it means me taking an extra year before competing to fix my elbows but gets me to my goal without having to rely on elbows sleeves and weekly physio, I'll happily take that time backing off.

Rear delt workouts are always killer. I still notice that my right shoulder has a little over compensation. See how it's up higher than the other? I guess that means I need to decrease the weight and work my way back up to strengthen those stability muscles.
