THIS POST CHANGED MY LIFE. Throwback to my third day trying calisthenics. For those of you who don't know, I broke my back. I never thought I'd be able to do what I do today. CrossFit, Calisthenics, Acro, Yoga, Ninja, Parkour, Lifting, Surfing and everything else I do... It's a blessing. This video was my first shared video. It started with @barstarzz and @crossfitgames then it spread. This video has not only changed my life because of me physically able to do such things, but because this was the first time I was told I inspired others. That is something I am truly grateful for. Inspiring others to be strong and healthy is all I could ever ask for. I know what being injured feels like, and it's a struggle. But breaking my back and doing what I do now is one of the biggest blessings and struggles I've ever experienced. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who supports me. Because of you I can truly live my dreamsπŸ’™πŸŒŽ

The gymnast, no doubt.

The gymnastics kip is by far the easiest way to learn a "muscle up". In order to get the traditional CrossFit muscle up the athlete either needs to have extremely strong lats and core muscles or have near perfect technique.
I prefer to have my athletes learn the gliding kip, and once they have the feel for it... Then learn how to adapt to the standards of a CrossFit muscle up.
