Instagram Weight Loss Journal # 7
Yep, that's me repping the whole machine at 100kg. But that's two years of consistent and structured training for you. I could hardly rep 10kg when I started.
Something all of my weight loss journals so far have been missing is a sense of how gentle I was with beginning my weight loss journey.
I found this great article called 23 workouts that won't overwhelm you, and a book called the' fat girls guide to exercise.' Between self help books, a lot of crying, and obnoxiously dark poetry, I managed to start making progress.
I figured the initial challenge was to asses what I could manage. It's not like gentle exercise was gonna make my life worse, so why not?
I went so far as to promise myself that if I at least made an effort, that was more than enough. I promised myself that if I 'just put on your workout clothes, then you can go back to bed.', and 'just make sure you have the food you need for the week, you don't have to cook it.' The kind of self bashing 'you have to or everyone will die!!' internal monolog I've always clung to hadn't stopped my life from being a mess. Instead I asked for help and gave myself a lot of 'there there, you just take it at your own pace.' When I started I was in a dark place and just out of a complicated pregnancy. There was no way in hell I was gonna be jogging my 175kg ass around the block just to look pretty and feel a little better.
So I looked to books for permission to be gentle with myself. It worked a lot better than beating myself up. So I extend that experience to ya'll.
Its okay to take it one step at a time.🐯 #fitness #finessjourney #extremebodytransformation #bodytransformation #workoutmotivation #ketogenic #keto #paleo #lowcarb #lowGI #healthyliving #healthyfood #weightlossjourney #weightloss #workout #legday #cleaneating #foodie #diet #lifestylechange #lovemybody #getripped #gymbunny #gymrat #strong #stonk #stronggirl
