Here are some common factors than can cause exercise to negatively affect you: - Less than 6 hours sleep, especially for two or more consecutive nights. - Not enough calories or chronic under-eating. - Joint or muscular pain. - Not completely recovered from sickness or looming sickness. - Stress - Dehydration - Increased physical activity outside the gym, either from playing a sport, etc or running around for work, taking care of a loved one, etc.
