Vegan Gulab Jamun (Indian fried doughnuts) 😍
For the sugar syrup :
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
1 tbsp Cardamom
Put all the ingredients into a pan, cook in medium heat untill the sugar dissolved. Strain the syrup.
For the dough :
4-5 slices of white/brown vegan bread
2-3 Tbsp any vegan milk
Remove the brown crust, tear the bread apart as finely as possible, while gradually adding milk, break and knead it into a fine smooth dough, make sure you have no lumps as your gulab jamuns will break if so. Roll them into balls. Deep fry in low heat untill they're brown.
Put the doughnuts in a bowl, pour the sugar syrup. Top with pistachio/almond.
