Planting potatoes. We cut up the big ones, making sure each piece has a good sprouting 'eye', and dip the cuts in woodash.
The ash is highly alkaline and prevents mould getting in - a good way of extending limited seed potatoes. Then we prep the beds with seaweed and compost, make a furrow, place the potatoes down and mound the soil up over them.
