Friday nights just aren't the same as they used to be. And while I miss the ritual of weekly nights out at at our favorite restaurants, I don't miss the Saturday morning food hangover. I used to spend all week looking forward to my Friday night "cheat meal" (which always was a slippery slope to a"cheat weekend"). Now most Friday nights dinner is an afterthought and I throw together whatever I have leftover in the fridge. Tonight is just that. As @spudfit says, "make your food boring (simple) and your life interesting."
