I wrote an article (and it was published) and briefly touched on this topic. This is something I have always felt very strongly about and completely disagreed with. • I have very dark skin colored family members and although I am white, I am very much so an #ethnic melting pot. •
The issue with the national anthem and taking a knee is a deeper issue than what we are told. It comes down to skin. You're skin and what makes it #darker is something called melanin. We All contain it. In the 24+ countries I've traveled to, I've come across many cultures and races. Across many regions of the world, lighter skin is preferred and put on a pedastool. From #japan to
#india, to here in the #US. We as #AMERICANS are ALL very much to blame for any #racialdivision that is constantly blasted at one another. How is it that Hollywood has not been called to answer for this?🤔 Why is it that actors and #athletes take a knee but fail to stand up to their own #industry when it blatantly disrespects people of color from ALL races and ENCOURAGES images of lighter blacks, middle-easterners, and #latinas? If you want to blame someone blame yourself. God does bless a select few with a pedastool to speak and stand up when things are wrong. I think you should all start to do the same. How can we be a nation united, fighting for #civilrights when there is a constant #gross agenda in #hollywood to keep the black image (and people of color) in a box?
Please be respectful with your comments. I take this issue very seriously and I'm interested in hearing your thoughts. It is my hopes that I reach out and inspire some to think on this topic. It's not right. #black #white #race #NFL #BLM #ALM #skin #mixed
