. . .
This weekend, We start preparing for growing vegetables in our new Community Vegetable Garden.
We believe it is ‘Every Child’s Right To Learn How To Grow Food’
Growing food and looking after the environment are high on our priority list at Beautiful Minds Nurseries.
At Indigo Valley Nursery, Al Twar 2, we view our gardens as extensions to the children’s classrooms, and we encourage the children, staff and families to be eco-conscious by supporting them in growing healthy and organic fruits and vegetables.
We start with purchasing the seeds and seedlings.
Our Organic Community Garden is in collaboration with our local neighbour Mr. Mohammad Al Awadii, who is graciously advising us on the idiosyncratic profiles of the local area.
By sharing his Emirati wisdom and knowledge, he is guiding us in growing our organic garden that will be accessed by our Nursery families and our street community.
This weekend we truck in the top soil and organic goat manure and prepare the garden beds.
We will celebrate our new growing season with Homemade ice-tea and cupcakes under the Ghaf trees this Sunday morning 9am 22nd October 2017.
