Todavía me acuerdo cuando me tomaba 2-3 #GreenSmoothies por día (alguna se acuerda de aquellos tiempos? 😊💕#YaNoTengoTantoTiempo )

Este smoothie es RE simple, pero quiero compartirles la receta porque:
1. La inventó ÉL y está muy orgulloso de haberla hecho 💕 @changula (pero ÉL le puso "smoothie de choco-chips" 🤦🏻‍♀️ alguien le puede explicar a mi esposo que no se puede llamar así si no lleva chocolate? 😣)
2. Sabe deliciosa
3. Es rapidita

Solamente mezclé 2 tazas de agua, 1 taza de espinacas americanas de @feriaverde , 3 nueces de Brasil (súper fuente de Selenio para actividad antioxidante, sistema inmune, menos inflamación y metabolismo sano), 3 dátiles, 1 scoop de proteína de vainilla sin hormonas ni edulcorantes artificiales de @vitaminshoppecostarica (sabe increíble 👌🏼 ), MUCHA canela (control de azúcar en sangre) y listo ✅ .
Lo hago con mucho hielo y me lo como tipo heladito 😋 .
Apenas para #snack o antojito 👌🏼

The past 2 weeks have been hell with me being locked inside a prison cell in my own brain that goes by the name of anxiety. Paralyzing, debilitating, loneliness-causing anxiety. I know anyone who suffers with mental illness will get this post.

A few times a year, my anxiety gets the best of me. I go from a kick-ass woman taking over the world to a crying, shaking, hyperventilating, wanting to climb out of my skin shadow of my former self, and to see my family watch me go through it is the hardest part.
.
My husband is left to solo parent, my parents are left to worry themselves sleepless, and my 5-year-old son? I can't hide it from him anymore either. He asks Daddy why Mommy doesn't want to eat anything, and if Mommy's tummy still hurts, and why doesn't Mommy want to come and watch swimming lessons.
.
The worst part is that he's now saying his stomach hurts, he's nervous, and doesn't want to go to school.
.
I can't hide this from him anymore, he's growing up.
.
Thankfully, after a few weeks I'm on the other side of it. I even ate dinner with my boys last night and made it through the entire day without a panic attack. 🙌🏻
.
And despite all of that, I'm grateful for the clarity that anxiety brings. I now know a few more things that are important to me and have made some changes:
.
- Aleks needs more Mommy time, so we've cancelled after school care and I'm done work at 3:30 everyday to meet him at the bus.
- I cancelled a few work engagements that seemed necessary at the time, but weren't 100% aligned with my need to take care of myself first. I hate seeming flaky, but I had a friend tell me that it takes courage to say no to things so I'm focusing on that to help me feel better!
- I adjusted my programs to recordings so that my @doterra team could still soak up my trainings without me having to get so worked up. The best part is they fully support me and think the recordings are a genius idea. I love my team!

Slowly getting back on track with training, starting with green smoothies at least once a day ☺️ Today was a mix of spring greens, cucumber, apple, banana, strawberry, celery, and carrot. Still on the no red meat diet. Giving up sugar again unless I run a half marathon or further, I get one chocolate milk. Cutting back on diary. Still no deep fried foods. Going to incorporate chlorophyll in my water on running days. Let's see how this will go!

I forgot how good #greensmoothies were! Elliot approves! 2 C. Spinach, frozen mango chunks, peaches and a banana! DELICIOUS!

Smoothies are a great way to get more #nutrients, you can have them for #breakfast, #lunch, after a #workout or just as a #dessert. In particular #greensmoothies are sold as #healthy and you can buy them in cafes, on the street, or make your own.
However, they don't always seem to be what they are sold as and also when you make them at home, these are the things you might want to consider:
1. Too much fruit in smoothies.
Too much fruit can spike the blood sugar and create havoc in the body. Fruit sugar is sugar, even if it is natural, it needs to be processed by your body.
Tip: Stick to more spinach, celery, cucumber, avocado, some berries and only small amount of fruit to make it sweeter. Smoothies high in #sugar consumed daily can cause weight gain.
2. Too many calories
It is very easy to add more calories by drinking smoothies. First of all, it is so easy to have more #ingredients in one smoothie than we would ever eat in one setting. Second, for some people #calories that have been consumed through drinking don't count. They are easy to forget.
Tip: Be aware how much you put in your smoothie and see it as a whole meal. Add good source of #proteinpowder, avocado and #LSA to stay satisfied and full for longer.
3. Smoothies in cafes
Ask what is in the smoothie. Cafes want you to enjoy those and the recipe for that is to add more £fruit, fruit juice and even ice cream into those. Smoothies in cafes or on the street have almost all the time "hidden" ingredients so that you come back, because it is so #delicious.
Tip: Ask what is in the #smoothie. Ask not to add ice cream and no fruit juices, instead add coconut water or just water.
