If you’re fed up with the morning slump (that coffee delivers), but not ready to give up caffeine completely, give matcha a try. It has roughly ⅓ of the caffeine in coffee, it gives you a mild boost and no energy dips afterwards. It’s also much kinder to your adrenals therefore a better choice if you tend to feel stressed, jittery and anxious (coffee adds to and exacerbates stress in some people who can’t digest and clear it well).
I use my trusted Vitamix rather than the traditional method for making it, because I love speed and convenience! Plus the creamy texture is divine. Any other blender would do the job just fine.
🍵 0.5 tsp matcha
🍵 400 ml hot water
🍵 2-4 tbsp coconut milk (or other milk)
🍵 1-2 tsp vanilla concentrate
🍵 0.5 tsp cinnamon - optional
Blend everything and enjoy!
