When I was at Trader Joe's on Friday, I totally impulse-purchased this cake mix to bake and bring to work with me today. It's a pretty simple mix, not exactly the healthiest, but for the heck of it I swapped out the oil and subbed in greek yogurt to up the nutrition a notch.
Here's the thing. When you decide to live a life that focuses on your health, that doesn't mean that baking for you or for others has to stop. I'm a firm believer in practicing moderation, which for me means occasionally baking when I get the urge, but doing it for a purpose or group of people that will keep me from going back to the dish 10x! 🤣 You don't have to healthify every dish, but it's a fun experiment to try, and I recommend it as you continue on your journey!
So tell me: do you like to bake? Do you find it hard to bake and then not need all the things? Confession: that is the main reason I don't bake cookies often, much to Adam's dismay! When I do, though, I know I can lean on my accountability group to keep me, well, accountable! How do you keep from eating it all if that's your struggle?
