Visited bierhuis - famous for beers ofcourse, but also for their belgian dishes like moules frites and belgian waffles. 🥞 (I want a waffle emoji)
The atmosphere is very cozy. Dim lit with warm, yellow tones. Ceiling with picture of old painting and wooden, classic features. The last donut is boy there due to way to loud music and hard to have a conversation.
Not the fastest service. We waited 1,5 hour for main dishes to come, and they made a mistake in order so I only got my fries until additional 15min waiting until my order came.
1kg moules frites here is worth it. I had with chili anf choritzo that was okay, but the original is much better. A lot of flavours are at the bottom with all the sauce. A bit tasteless on top and slightly too salty on bottom. Choritzo bites had some spicyness.
Belgian waffle was made out of dough, not batter. The waffle was soft, but didn't have crisp on the outside. Not sweet, and with the apples on top - it was a good balanced sweetness.
