Apparently today is #museumselfieday! I have a degree in art history, so I couldn’t not post one of the bajillions that I have from over the years. This is in Scotland last spring with a glorious Vermeer. And if there’s one fabric that was just made for strolling museum galleries, it’s the Helios rayon by @annamariahorner. Dress is a #scouttee hack.
After an almost 2 year drought, I turned on my sewing machine today and finally put the bindings and hem in this Willow Tank. I’m rusty—my bindings won’t lie flat and my hem bubbles a little—but I’m glad I finally finished it. Now to make plans for more sewing. #willowtank#grainlinestudio#snowdaysewday#handmadewardrobe
I didn't go as extreme on the cuffs, and opted for a split hem instead of banding at the bottom (I spend so much time picking up the baby / things the baby has dropped so appreciate a longer hem at the back!!). I absolutely love this version and think it will get a lot of wear. Fabric is a lovely soft sweatshirt with brushed back from #fabricgodmother I also got to use my gorgeous new labels, which are completely unnecessary but really finish it off 😍😍 Link to the original inspiration https://makery.co.uk/2016/02/fo-linden-sweatshirt-with-bikeresque-quilting-hack/
