Here's a very gothic element of Albert Square that exists near the top of the Grade I listed Albert Memorial. Only 2.5% of listed buildings in England are given Grade I status, so it's in a very rare club. ⏳ The Memorial was commissioned and constructed in the 1860s, with various canopies on it celebrating the arts, commerce, science and agriculture. The designs (including the sculpture for Prince Albert) are said to have been personally approved by Queen Victoria!
