Last detail shot of the Krazy Kat / Marek/ Mande banjo. I squared off the upper part of the neck, like the early heel-less “minstrel era” banjos. I went for the flattest finish I could, found nice “French” style, meaning brown instead of bright brass, tacks, and got a great mottled skin from Djembe Drums and Skins. Check them out a goatskins.com. Great product, great service, Shorty is a friendly helpful guy!
