It's the last day of the AmeriCorps service year for most of our program. Stay indoors to celebrate? No way! Our @cityofredmond crew is spending their last day of service at Redmond Watershed Preserve.
What a year! THANK YOU to each of our members for their incredible service; you have improved our environment and made a difference in communities near and far! May you hike on to new adventures with confidence and courage, equipped with new skills and experiences from this year of service in the WCC. #GotThingsDone#GreenPathways#NationalService (Photo contributed by Zoe Loutos)
After a couple weeks of washing walls, filling holes, sanding, more washing, vacuuming, painting the house and steam cleaned rooms, stairs, couch, lawn mowed.... I’m finally enjoying a bubble bath with a thunderstorm, music, wine... by candle light. Perfect! #relaxation#enjoythecalm#gotthingsdone
Today was my last day with Playworks Georgia. I've spent the last year growing with a wonderful team of people, and it's definitely bittersweet to be starting this next chapter. #playworks#gotthingsdone
Suddenly they hit me! The long pointy probiscus jutting from beneath their blood filled eyes. All I wanted to do was smoke a bong in the park at 10:PM. I was defenseless. Each second I worked to prepare my task, they were on me. The darkness was insatiably lustful. The mosquitos were not asking me for it, they were taking it, and they were on a voracious crucade of thirst. I tried walking around and as I stopped to light my blue dream, there they were again. My Fingers! Their needle scraped shudderingly inside the bare knuckle of my right index finger. I gasped, coughing as my head spun and darkness crept towards me. I stumbled across to the trees to dump my water but I was not near fast. They jammed their stinging into my lower back and my shoulders, my back and my neck. All this when I was supposed to quit smoking today. Seriously.
