As we made our way around Iceland, taking the ring road clockwise beginning in the north, the more famous spots were left for last on our trip. With time running low, some hard decisions were made about what to cut out. Because there were many other glacier lagoons around, we almost skipped this one but I'm so glad we didn't. Walking along the shores of Diamond Beach, where large chucks of ice from the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon have floated out and settled on its black sand, was an experience unlike any other. Definitely one of my top things I saw and shot in Iceland - the various sizes chucks of ice are awesome foreground objects to play with!
