The wintry weather the past couple of days reminded me of Queenstown. Fortunately, the weather already eased today and I can now feel that summer’s really coming (hopefully).
Lying around in Taiwan airport, we left in2 groups from Auckland yesterday my group are the standup paddling team. We were traveling with 12.6 ft boards which the airlines don’t like very much lol, left at 8.45pm on China Airlines- who are very good btw. Especially as they accomodated our boards and no over size charge. Flew via Brisbane had quick nap on the floor, landed safe n sound here in Taiwan and now waiting till our next flight which has turned out to be 9 hours away youch!!! All part of the experience. To top it off there’s talk of a typhoon heading towards our event island Hainon. Sounds like lots of the competing countries having difficulty getting their boards onto flights to Hainon. Thank goodness we had Pete Head from @islandholidays looking after us. Got our boards on no problem hopefully they’ll be there to greet us at our last stop. Also special thanks to Chris at China Airlines who was super helpful to the NZ team #gonz#isaworlds#china#chinaairlines#isaworldpaddleboardchamps#hainon#paddleboarding#pronepaddle#supsurfing#magrettetimepieces#proscape#surfingnz#nzsup#supnz#sup2#nzsupteam#needsomesleep
Recuerdo las interminables subidas y escaleras, para llegar al punto que debía ser, la mejor vista a esta hermosa cascada. Pero de vez en cuando, hay que correr riesgos, para que la naturaleza literalmente te abrace.
