Reverse Band Bench
For anyone really that wants to add muscle to their frames, this method allows the lifter to handle greater loads while leading to greater muscle fiber recruitment all the whilst reducing stress on the joints etc.
Also psychologically, having more weight loaded allows you to mentally prepare and support you in lifting those same loads later on down the road when you remove the bands, essentially💪🏽
I had a vertical push workout the day prior to this so I was happy with what I had in the tank this particular day. I worked up a 275(not the same on smith, I’m aware) before this set, but loaded up accordingly with how I felt this day. Heavy is subjective. Rule of thumb I like to use is to progressively overload then when getting to your working sets, have a couple reps left in the tank. Add this to your arsenal💪🏽 Move more, let’s work.
