Day 105 : 15/04/18
Three things I’m thankful for:
1. Alone time
Today was a very productive day. Many things that I haven’t had the chance or have put off doing we’re accomplished today. Just having a full day off and the house empty was so helpful.
I spoke with my mom this afternoon about my race and told her about how I thought I’d do another 1/2 marathon in the fall, but run this one for time. Hopefully I’ll be able to use the nice summer months to train better. Plus I now have a time to beat! She asked if this cured my marathon desire, a question I’d been asking myself. So, one day post race (😅) I think the answer is “for now”. I think I will eventually run a full marathon, but for now I really want to conquer the half. I want to come across the line panting having pushed the last two miles, not just run. On the fb page of the health/fitness/life improvement group I’m part of one woman posted about having signed up for a half marathon in Holland, MI in September. I’ve run in a lot of different places, but I’ve always loved running in Holland. So with a hour before the price went up and armed with a discount code I signed up to run my second half marathon. I’m so excited! I never want to live in Holland, but I’ll come back to run along the lake any day.
