I love it when the leaves change in the Wasatch Back.. I'm so fortunate to live beneath these mountains.
There are handfuls of Kokanee running up the river at Rock Cliff. Although the official event has been canceled due to the low numbers, we will still have information at the entrance booth and have signs along the boardwalks guiding you to the bridges. The Nature Center will also be open from 9-3 tomorrow. Park entry for people wanting to check out the fish is FREE from 9am-3pm at Rock Cliff on Saturday, Sept. 15. So come relax by the river and look for some fish! There are probably few numbers due to the only being 2.5 years old. Mature spawning usually happens when the are 3-4 years old. There will be viewing opportunities at Strawberry too. #jordanellestatepark #gohebervalley #kokaneeviewing
I love having the Wasatch in one direction and the Uinta's in the other.. The only hard part is figuring out which way to go!
