When it comes to a diverse landscape, the same could be said for the Gobi Desert to the east. But the similarities end there. Other than the lack of trees, these two regions couldn't be any different. Even still, a healthy Gobi Argali population calls this place their home.
Our client with his outstanding Gobi Argali taken with us in Mongolia last season. As the name would suggest, these magnificent rams live in the Gobi Desert. The Gobi desert gets less than 8" of rainfall per year, so grasses don't grow like they will in the Hangai or Altai areas, thus Gobi Argali horns don't typically grow quite as fast.
The background of this photo really shows how unforgiving the landscape is that these incredible animals call home.
