One of the things most Gnarls Barkley's fans complain about is that their songs are quite short. "This is so good, but why is it sooo short?!"
A long time ago, maybe 2007/2008, Danger Mouse said in an interview that the songs were meant to be short as they are. The tracks were about 3 minutes, and that is because Danger Mouse believed that a good track should 'buy him' in 3 minutes. "One of St. Elsewhere's charms is its brevity", he'd say. If it didn't, the track just wasn't good enough. The classics and most the tunes that both CeeLo and Danger Mouse loved were about that short... #Crazy, isn't it?
