Asana practice today, at the playground. Hips & upper back... intimately linked... As one releases, so does the other.
Focusing on internal lift & hugging to the centre line, particularly in lunges. So often the outer hip loses integrity. Placing the front foot initially at a 45 degree outward angle in lunge helps to hug the hip in to the centre line. Then, once you realign the front foot to parallel with the sides of the mat, focus on maintaining that same hugging sensation with the hip.
