There are SO many deserving non-profits vying for the same donor dollars tomorrow. It is hard to decide where to give your hard earned money. I understand that.
I can promise that 100% of the money raised tomorrow will go directly to our animals. Directly to saving hospice animals. Neglected animals. Abused animals. Homeless animals. Animals in need of veterinary care. We will not spend a dime on administration, payroll, or overheard costs. Because we know you want your money to make a big difference. We are committed to make that difference.
Some of you might remember Wrinkles from last year. She was a mess. Left for dead in the middle of a road down south. Barely alive. Well, she has some news to share.
"Hello! It is I, Wrinkles P. McStinkles. You may remember me from last year’s Give To The Max Day. But maybe not, because I look so much more super fabulous and amazing now!!! At this time last year, we knew my road to recovery would be long and rough. But nothing was going to stop me. The road ended up a bit longer and rougher than anyone expected, but I plowed through every obstacle in my way. Well, I mostly plodded, stumbled and crashed through them. (I’ve been told I have the stride of an insane goat.) But I made it! Because I will be gosh-darned if anyone says that I am not the most determined dog in the world!
Thank Dog that Secondhand Hounds had my back. Because we knew that no one would ever say “Enough! This dog is too broken! Let her be someone else’s problem!” Because when you come to Secondhand Hounds, they make a promise to you that you are now their problem. And they will not give up until you aren’t a problem anymore, but a miracle. Because that’s what Secondhand Hounds does, turns problems into miracles. Even if, like me, some of those miracles are a little harder, longer and more expensive to find. And the best part? They never love you any less, no matter how deeply your miracle is hidden. 🐾
And now, drum roll please... I get to be a miracle for a new family! I was just adopted, after over a year in rescue!” #givetothemax #givemn #givetothemax2017 🐾
