One piece of my journey has been learning what my body needs by listening to it. Sometimes I'm craving sugar, but what I really need is water or a nap. Other times my leg won't stop bouncing and I really need to get excess energy out of my body or write to release any anxiety.

This week has been literal hell for me. I have barely been able to sleep, my head has been everywhere, and I don’t really feel well. However, everyone has been super sweet, sending me texts throughout the day trying to cheer me up or ask if I am ok. I really wasn’t in the mood to workout today, but I have learned one thing about myself: getting myself to the gym is the difficult part; once I am @ the gym, I go hard no matter what is going on in my life. After my workout, it is fair to say, I am pretty happy. My workout slightly cleared my mind and helped relieve some stress. 今天先硬舉40、50、45、47.5kg x 5下
再深蹲30、35、35、37.5kg x 6-7下
之前都可以再加個十公斤,但六月底下背受傷,力量週期也跑到一半,快一個月沒有練,硬舉跟深蹲還能維持這個重量我很滿意了👍

I was not prepared for that workout 💦💦💦💦 sweating this cold out of me. -

I wanted to share just how important prioritising your health and managing your stress and work life balance is. .
If you have been reading my last few days of blogging(can find be joining my group or on Facebook) .
Stress is pretty much an understatement of how I have been feeling. .
Yes I was going to gym, yes I was trying best I could but it was merely just going through motions and never reaching anywhere. .

I dropped my sessions two weeks ago.
Rested a bit more.
Last week I upped them again but now with a better and more work-life balance and I have actually lifted more this week than I've done in months. .

Today my upper body needed a spotter again whoop whoop!
.

I am very up front about sharing good and bad sides of lifestyle and sadly I didnt acknowledge the warning signs or was too stressed to see that I probably hit "burn out"a few months back
.
Lesson here is, training should be progressive and continuously.
If not you are standing still and you aren't getting results. .
Sure exercise to maintain health but we'd be lying of we said we didn't want to continuously improve it right? .

Have a look are you needing to make changes in your lifestyle? .

Do you need more recovery at the moment? .

Step back and assess. .
Im away for a much needed shower as clearly I look like I've been dragged through a hedge... but I love it! Strong and fit Lisa will be back once again. .
