Monitoring my gains on this slow cut...I'm currently on a keto diet as you may know if you've been following my joint channel with my twin sister @thewesttwins and the aim is to keep as much muscle mass as possible whilst losing fat... it's so hard to achieve that, especially if you lose the weight quickly. Here is a snapshot of my results after 8 the week program I just completed! I've always been told that it is really difficult to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, but I managed to pull it off! I did not lose any pounds, but I lost over 4.5% of Bodyfat in just 8 weeks😳😳🙌🏻🙌🏻 It is exciting to see results come from my hard work😁 Dedication, determination, and Discipline = Results!

More from chest day yesterday 🙋 I LOVE this cable machine with the adjustable arms. I usually use it in some way for EVERY workout. Flys are great on here because you can target upper and lower chest for this superset just by moving the arms 💪💖

Gooooodmornin' ☀️ & happy Tuesday! Updated physique this morning before I destroy my arms. Weighing in at - 116.5. Cannot wait to see what I am able to accomplish before my birthday in July. Another thing I wanted to address really quick. I am not here to post all these pictures of my body to make others feel a certain way (whether it be jealousy or coming off as cocky) when you're so passionate with fitness I post things like this because I literally busted my ass to get to where I want to be and that's something that I will forever be proud of (as should ANYONE) I want to show people that literally anyone can accomplish anything that they want with a vision. I want everyone to be great and feel great mentally and physically, truly. We're all human and should all be wanting to help & lift each other up and strive one another to be the best that they can be! ✨😊❣️

I reaaally like this superset on the leg extension machine! An alternative for when the cable machine is taken (aka always🙄) I did:
12-15 kickbacks and without rest I did sissy squats until failure. When switching to sissy squats make sure to pin down more weight! 🤗🔥🔥🔥

This photo is so unflattering but it sums it all up for us so I'm going to share it anyway. Now that the open has come to an end it's time for reevaluation...
1.) This has by far been the best experience in the three years I've participated. I set a goal to end top 10 and I ended up sitting in top 5 weeks 2-5!!! That's pretty amazing to me 😵 Some think I sell my self short but I prefer to think of it as being realistic. I do not enjoy setting myself up for disappointment... who does??
2.) I did not shed one single tear this season. I managed to be stronger both mentally and emotionally the entire time. I had my share of anxious moments but I held it together and pulled through every time. That's a PR in itself if you ask me 💛
3.) The Open is not my competition. Sure, it gets a little competitive with the leaderboard and I've been reminded that it doesn't hurt. But it's not for me to care so much about. If I think about why I do the open and what it truly means to me, it all comes down to one thing- an evaluation of my training for the next year.
4.) Having a strong support system is vital on this journey. Know your people and have no shame in leaning on them when you need to. It will help things run on a smoother basis. Surviving the 5 weeks of insanity will be much more bearable with them by your side 💕

If there's one piece of advice I have for myself next year it is this: If you can honestly say you've done everything you can to prepare, then accept it and be okay with it. Trust in that. In the end, it is me vs me and that's all that matters. 🙌🏽💪🏽

As I got further along my #transformation through the years, I grew increasingly more focused on strength and confidence, instead of size and a number on the scale.

You sort of "learn your body" when you go through physical change like I have. You begin to recognize parts of you that can be strengthened and improved, while other parts need to be loved and appreciated just as they are. ❤️

Take my legs for example. The girl on the left used to hate them. I thought they were huge, too muscular and not "lady-like& #34; . I rarely wore shorts and to think about exposing my legs gave me a small panic.😧🚫

Now let's focus on the woman to the right. She loves them. I see them as strong, athletic and quite amazing in a pair of 👠 . I can squat heavy with these, I can run quickly with these and to think about covering them up is annoying to me 😂 In fact, my favorite season is now summer because once the sky is out, these thighs 💕 to come out, too. I'm not ashamed of these "thunder thighs"⚡️like I was in the past! There's simply no room to NOT see how incredible they are. #realtalk

I know it is not a big progress but i always say slow progress is better than no progress... when i first started lifting i only trained legs, just legs and cardio... 😂🙌🏼once a week upper body but not with deadlifts or any heavy lifting just "girl stuff" ! But now i love training back, arms, shoulders, chest and all that upper body stuff 😍🙌🏼 i love to have a nice back and i love the progress 🙈 SOO WHAT DAY IT IS TODAY?
